Association Jeanne Jugan

The Association Jeanne Jugan is actively seeking interested Catholic men and women to join our St. Mary’s Home family by:

  • sharing in the spirituality of the Little Sisters of the Poor
  • participating in our mission of hospitality
  • helping to spread the charism of St. Jeanne Jugan in our community.

After a year of spiritual preparation, new members are inducted into the Association Jeanne Jugan on May 1, the Feast of St. Joseph, patron of the Little Sisters of the Poor.

Association Jeanne Jugan activities at St. Mary’s Home include:

  • Volunteering in the Home
  • Visiting Residents who are hospitalized, room-bound or in need of special attention
  • Participating in periodic spiritual events, such as retreats and prayer services.

Lend a Helping Hand and Volunteer

A visit from you can truly brighten the day of our St. Mary’s Home family members and you might find that it brings you joy, too!

Whether you assist with practical needs or simply listen to Residents’ stories, your presence matters.

There are also opportunities for “hidden” service, and for occasional help with holidays and events. We’re grateful for any way that you can help with our work. If you’re interested in helping in a way not listed here, we’re happy to talk!

Interested in volunteering? Please call (773) 935-9600 or email volchicago@littlesistersofthepoor.org

We do ask that all volunteers are fully vaccinated and over the age of 18.
