At St. Mary’s Home, we recognize that each day on this earth is a gift from God. To honor that precious gift, we believe in finding joy in the simple things—everyday tasks, friendly conversations, and, of course, a silly celebration or two!
On September 22nd, our Home celebrated the first day of autumn with a festive “Fall Fling!” Homemade pumpkin spice lattes were served in our Auditorium, while Mother Margaret treated everyone to delicious slices of pumpkin and apple pie. Fall-themed music filled the room as Residents enjoyed laughter, friendly conversation, and the opportunity to welcome the new season together.
Just one week later, on September 29th, St. Mary’s Home was filled with even more warmth and cheer as we celebrated National Coffee Day! Staff members had the opportunity to spend time with Residents while taking a roaming cart throughout the Home, delivering smiles, hot coffee, and fresh apple strudels right to each Resident’s room. It was a simple but meaningful way to brighten our Residents’ day and share a little extra joy.
At St. Mary’s Home, we believe that celebrations don’t have to be big to be meaningful. Whenever we are given the opportunity, our Residents and Sisters embrace the fun, fellowship, and joy that come from making every day something to celebrate!
