On Monday, June 9, Habits on the Green, our highly-anticipated annual golf outing, returned to Midlothian Country Club, and the day was certainly above par! Our many prayers for good weather had been answered, letting Sisters and guests bask in the delightful summer rays and warm up their putting arms to better take on the green.
After a tasty lunch, our guests were eager to tee up for a challenging round of championship-caliber golf. From old pros to hackers and duffers, attendees were buzzing with excitement to both play and raise money to support the mission of the Little Sisters.
Following the golf, guests enjoyed a delightful summer evening cocktail party and then a delicious dinner. No doubt the most gratifying moment of the event was the overwhelming response to our special Fund a Need appeal for donations to replace the old, broken elevator in St. Mary’s Home. We still have a way to go to meet our $250,000 goal, but thanks to generous attendees, the heavy lifting of this project can begin!
Thank you to all who made this year’s Habits on the Green a tremendous success. We can’t wait to see you next year for the 25th anniversary of our tee-rific event!
