It’s a Butterfly Day!
St. Mary’s Home was blessed to have a sunny day in May, perfect for Butterfly Release Day! As a way to celebrate the beauty and wonder of spring, our Life Enrichment team hatched a plan to help replenish the dwindling population of butterflies. Since their arrival as caterpillars in April, we have been actively, eagerly anticipating the perfect time to watch our butterflies emerge from their cocoons and fly away. Residents’ hearts were aflutter as they gathered in our garden, each getting a close look at the dainty winged creatures inside their enclosure before they took flight. Some people believe that, when a butterfly lands on you, it is a sign of good luck to come! We hope you are blessed with some of this luck and joy during the upcoming summer months ahead!
