On Monday, June 10, Habits on the Green, our highly-anticipated annual golf outing, returned to Midlothian Country Club, and the day was certainly above par! Our many prayers for good weather had been answered, letting Sisters and guests bask in the delightful summer rays and warm up their putting arms to better take on the green.
After a tasty lunch, our guests were eager to tee up for a challenging round of championship-caliber golf. From old pros to newbies, attendees were buzzing with excitement to both play and raise money to support the mission of the Little Sisters.
Some might say the ever-popular Putt Against the Sister contest on the practice green was even more challenging and nerve-racking than the regular course, as golfers were surprised by the skill of the Little Sisters, including Mother Margaret.
Following the golf, guests enjoyed a delightful summer evening cocktail party and then a delicious dinner. No doubt the most gratifying moment of the event was the overwhelming response to our special Fund a Need appeal for donations to get our well-loved begging van a much-needed upgrade. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, this expensive, long overdue project can now be kickstarted forward!
Thank you to all who made this year’s Habits on the Green a success! What an un-fore-gettable time!
