On May 22, St. Mary’s Home prepared for a paw-some afternoon to celebrate the birthday of our previous House dog, Lincoln. And doggone it, we had a ball! Posters were placed all over the neighborhood encouraging humans and furry friends alike to come join the Little Sisters in our garden to give Lincoln the Bernedoodle and round of a-paws! Along with our friends from Palatine, there was a great turnout of neighborhood pups who came to socialize, play, and, of course, get lots of treats! They were howling with delight.
After singing Happy Birthday, we said “Bone Appetit!” as Lincoln and friends happily dug into the homemade, one-and-a-half-foot tall cake. To owners the Sisters served “people cake” and ice cream on plates and napkins adorned with adorable photos of Lincoln’s face.
Everyone at St. Mary’s Home was thrilled to be reunited with our favorite guy, and we wish him the happiest of birthdays!
