Residents were a barrel of laughs this week when St. Mary’s Home was visited by “Jinx” and “Joey Lasagna” of Vaudeville Chicago! Vaudeville Chicago is comprised of professional clowns who specialize in performing for seniors throughout the Chicagoland area. These silly entertainers believe in healing through laughter and are able to work with various types of seniors in multiple states of care.
This dynamic duo came to brighten the Residents’ day performing well-timed slapstick gags and singing some familiar tunes. From their bag of tricks, they handed out the wackiest and most whimsical of instruments for Residents to play along with the antics. From juggling light-up bowling pins, to ribbon dancing, to spinning plates–which some lucky folks got to try for themselves!– these goofballs had the Residents cracking up at their chaos. Residents were thrilled to be part of the act, and are greatly anticipating seeing these silly faces again soon!
