This past week, St. Mary’s Home said goodbye to our friend Ms. Shirley Bady, as she prepares to enter a new adventure in her life – retirement! Shirley devoted nearly 28 years of her life as a Certified Nurse Assistant, or CNA, in our Home, taking care of our Residents who love her so dearly. With reverence, family spirit, compassion, humble service, and stewardship, Shirley truly embodies the spirit of St. Jeanne Jugan, every day greeting you with a smile, a great attitude, and a laugh. To honor all she has done, a party was held for her with all sorts of yummy treats. Sisters, staff, and Residents all lined up to be sure to thank her for her dedicated service, express their love, and wish her well on the journey ahead. The St. Mary’s family wishes Shirley nothing but the best and the happiest of well-earned retirements!
