In celebration of Mexican Independence Day on September 16, Residents celebrated in style in our auditorium bedecked with the bright colors of the Mexican flag. As they sipped on margaritas, Residents listened to the upbeat stylings of Mariachi band, Cielito Lindo. A traveling snack cart roamed the audience serving chips and salsa, elote (or Mexican corn), and mouthwatering dulces (candies). Thanks to the lively atmosphere, a few of our Residents couldn’t help but and clap, shimmy, and dance to the music in celebration. ¡Viva México!
